Brunello Cucinelli encoge sus ventas por el coronavirus. La compañía italiana de moda masculina ha cerrado el primer trimestre del ejercicio (finalizado el 31 de marzo) con unas ventas de 156,7 millones de euros, un 2,3% menos que en el mismo periodo de un año atrás.

En Italia, los ingresos han caído un 13,9%, mientras que en el resto de Europa el retroceso ha sido del 2,2%. En Estados Unidos, por su parte, las ventas de Brunello Cucinelli han descendido un 9,5%.
La compañía italiana ha tomado medidas ante el avance del coronavirus. Entre ellas, la suspensión del dividendo y el aplazamiento de la junta de accionistas. “En el último trimestre del año reconsideraremos la distribución del dividendo”, ha explicado Brunello Cucinelli, presidente de la compañía, en un comunicado.
Antes del coronavirus, la compañía estaba inmersa en un plan de crecimiento a tres años, que ha revaluado tras el impacto de la pandemia. “La prioridad radica en salvaguardar la imagen de marca y la artesanía”, ha señalado Cucinelli.
