CONEP hace primera entrega de equipos y pruebas de COVID-19
El Consejo Nacional de la Empresa Privada, Inc. (CONEP) a través de la alianza empresarial Sanar una Nación, en coherencia a su compromiso de apoyo a la lucha contra la COVID-19, entregó a Comisión de Alto Nivel del Gobierno tres máquinas de diagnósticos para mejorar el procesamiento de detección de esta enfermedad, así como 10,000 pruebas rápidas PCR y cartuchos de reactivos.
Adicionalmente, ambas organizaciones contribuyeron con 10,000 caretas de protección y 50,900 mascarillas para salvaguardar la salud de proveedores civiles de servicios sanitarios y personal administrativo en los centros hospitalarios que atienden los casos de COVID-19. Estas caretas y mascarillas son de producción nacional, con lo que se procura apoyar e incentivar a empresas dominicanas en la crisis.
Primera de varias contribuciones
Esta contribución es la primera de varias que se estarán efectuando a lo largo de las próximas semanas en la medida que los equipos e insumos lleguen al país, para lo cual ya se han movilizado recursos ascendentes a más de RD$400 millones. A los fines de garantizar la transparencia, los detalles de las donaciones serán publicados en los portales institucionales de CONEP y Sanar Una Nación.
El objetivo de esta ayuda es colaborar en la identificación de casos del nuevo coronavirus, al tiempo de fortalecer las capacidades de respuesta a través de la protección a los trabajadores de la salud y equipamiento para la atención a los pacientes en situación crítica.
Estos aportes del sector empresarial serán canalizados a través de la Comisión de Alto Nivel Contra la COVID 19.
Acto de entrega
En representación del sector empresarial estuvieron presentes en el acto de entrega los señores Pedro Brache y Cesar Dargam, presidente y vicepresidente ejecutivo del CONEP; José Mármol, Vicepresidente Ejecutivo de RRPP y Comunicaciones del Grupo Popular; y Anyarlene Bergés, vicepresidenta de Relaciones Institucionales, Comunicaciones y Sostenibilidad de INICIA.
Brache agradeció a todas las empresas que han formato parte de esta alianza por la solidaridad mostrada con esta ayuda: Grupo Popular, Firma INICIA, Grupo Rica, Central Romana, Grupo Puntacana, Grupo Universal, Grupo Martí, Barrick Pueblo Viejo, DOMICEN, Grupo Ramos, CEPM, Gulfstream Petroleum, Cámara de Comercio, Gerdau METALDOM, Latin American Free Zone, Humanos Seguros, Total Dominicana, entre otras.
En representación del Gobierno dominicano, estuvo presentes el ministro de Economía, Planificación y Desarrollo, Juan Ariel Jiménez, quién agradeció al CONEP y a Sanar una Nación por haber articulado esta alianza de singular importancia para impulsar y apoyar una lucha que es de todos los dominicanos.
Otros aportes
Asimismo, el CONEP valoró la importancia y el impacto que esta teniendo la movilización de recursos desde el sector privado, para mitigar los efectos de la crisis del COVID 19. De manera particular, mencionó los aportes de los Grupos BHD-Leon, MERCASID, RIZEK, Compromiso Santiago, y de empresas como Claro, Altice, AES Dominicana, Cerveceria Nacional Dominicana, Barcelo, Brugal, Industrias San Miguel, Aeropuerto del Cibao, entre otros.
Apoyo para mitigar efectos de la crisis
Como parte de estos aportes del sector privado, en los próximos días llegarán al país otras donaciones consistentes en pruebas rapidas y PCR, equipos de protección personal y ventiladores cuatro máquinas más para realizar las pruebas de la COVID-19, dos de ellas con la tecnología GeneXPert XVI, la más avanzada actualmente.
El CONEP y Sanar una Nación reiteran su compromiso y respaldo a las acciones que desde el Gobierno dominicano se ejecutan para atenuar la crisis generada por la propagación de la COVID-19 en el país; y continuarán sumando esfuerzos para contribuir a mitigar los efectos de la emergencia sanitaria.
