Grupos turísticos reprograman fechas para proyectos en RD

Así como República Dominicana vivía un boom en la oferta de hospedaje, una de las mejores del Caribe, tras el inicio de operaciones de nuevas cadenas hoteleras y otras que tenían previsto su apertura para los primeros meses del 2020, la misma ha mermado por el coronavirus que en unos meses ha paralizado en su totalidad la industria turística y de viajes.

En ese sentido, La Collection Resorts, que había anunciado la inauguración del nuevo Live Aqua Beach Resort Punta Cana para marzo de 2020 se ha visto en la necesidad de reprogramar la fecha de apertura del establecimiento de hospedaje, ubicado en Uvero Alto.

El hotel de 345 suites, disponibles en siete categorías, promete ofrecer un servicio personalizado, entretenimiento y muchas otras comodidades, que serán para el disfrute de turistas cuando se rebase la caída del sector de viajes y hospedaje por el COVID-19.

La hotelera estaría anunciando la nueva fecha luego que culmine el estado de cuarentena.

Además, Casa de Campo tenía previsto en el plan de ampliación de su oferta de hospedaje la integración de un nuevo proyecto dentro de su propiedad en La Romana; Casa de Campo Suites que sumará 96 nuevas suites de lujo al complejo habitacional.

Sin embargo, Costa Sur Dominicana, desarrollador y administrador de la marca, indicó a través de un comunicado que “todos los trabajos de construcción, remodelaciones y mantenimientos en la propiedad serán suspendidos del 19 de marzo hasta el lunes 6 de abril del año en curso”.

“Se han cancelado todos los tours y visitas guiadas a turistas en Altos de Chavón, así como se ha suspendido la venta de los Day Pass y Day Tour a la propiedad”, explican.

Sin embargo, otros proyectos esperados para ser estrenados continúan con su plan. Tal es el caso del Serenade Punta Cana Beach & Spa Resort que tiene prevista su inicio de operaciones para junio 2020, con ello reafirmando su apuesta por RD como destino turístico.

“Una nueva melodía caribeña te hará bailar con tu corazón cuando Serenade Punta Cana abra este verano”, indica Serenade Caribbean Hotels a través de su cuanta oficial de Instagram.

También, Excellen Group Luxury Hotels & Resorts anunció que pretende abrir las puertas de su establecimiento de hospedaje de 450 suites Finest Punta Cana a mediados (junio-julio) de 2020, lo que ampliará la presencia de la marca en la región del Caribe.

De igual manera, The Ocean Club, Costa Norte, un Luxury Collection Resort, de Marriott International anunció recientemente que el hotel, de 7 pisos que albergaran 76 suites, abrirá sus puertas en junio del 2020.

Existen otros proyectos hoteleros que no han indicado fecha de aperturas y que mantendrán su ritmo de construcción tan pronto se restablezca las operaciones habituales del turismo dominicano.

Aperturas 2021

En el caso de las aperturas que están previstas para el 2021 y que ahora se ha afectado la construcción de esos proyectos, se espera que cuando todo vuelva a la normalidad cada trabajo siga su curso para darle paso al hotel Margaritaville Island Reserve by Karisma Cap Cana, un resort todo incluido que representa la introducción de la marca Margaritavillage a la República Dominicana.

El establecimiento de hospedaje, que tendrá 519 habitaciones, se realizará con una inversión de 150 millones de dólares y su apertura está prevista para el 2021.

De igual manera, se podrá apreciar la segunda fase del proyecto hotelero Lopesan Costa Bávaro Resort, la cual está prevista a ser inaugurada en 2021 con una inversión de 224 millones de dólares y completará las 2,500 habitaciones.

Además, el hotel Pure Salt Orchidarium, de la cadena Mac Hotels, en Uvero Alto, proyecto del grupo familiar Amengual, el cual se previa estar listo aproximadamente en 15 meses (desde su primer palazo en 2019) tendrá que extender un poco más el tiempo de su apertura por retraso en los trabajos para ofertar a los visitantes un hospedaje boutique de gran calidad y lujo.
