Mango mueve ficha en República Dominicana: reubica su ‘flagship’ de Santo Domingo
Mango muda la piel en República Dominicana. La compañía catalana de distribución de moda, que opera en Latinoamérica con una red comercial de casi doscientas tiendas, ha trasladado uno de sus buques insignia del país caribeño.
Según informaron fuentes del grupo a Modaes.es, Mango ha mudado de la tercera a la segunda planta su tienda del centro comercial Ágora Mall en Santo Domingo, en República Dominicana. El nuevo establecimiento cuenta con una red comercial de 260 metros cuadrados.
Además de haberse posicionado en una mejor ubicación del complejo, Mango ha instalado también la nueva imagen de tienda que ha implementado en otros países de la región y del mercado europeo.
Mango está presente en República Dominicana con dos tiendas
La compañía opera en República Dominicana de la mano de Grupo Phoenix, socio también en el país de Inditex. Además de su tienda de Ágora Mall, Mango cuenta con otro establecimiento en el país.
La compañía ha estado incrementando su presencia en varios países de Latinoamérica, especialmente en el Cono Sur, con nuevas tiendas en Bolivia y Paraguay. Además, la compañía española prepara cinco aperturas en México de la mano de los grandes almacenes El Palacio de Hierro, tal y como avanzó Modaes.es.
Sin embargo, la empresa también ha reordenado su parque comercial en la región y en el resto del mundo. A cierre de su ejercicio 2018, Mango contaba con 199 tiendas en Latinoamérica, seis menos que el año anterior.
El grupo abrirá próximamente cinco tiendas en el mercado mexicano
Además de Grupo Phoenix, la compañía tiene a otros socios en la región como Grupo Uribe, en Colombia; o El Palacio de Hierro, en México. Actualmente, Chile concentra el grueso de las tiendas de Mango en Latinoamérica, con 55 puntos de venta.
Mango cerró 2018 con un incremento del 17% de su resultado bruto de explotación(ebitda), que situó en 135 millones de euros. No obstante, la compañía finalizó el ejercicio engordando sus pérdidas un 6%, hasta 35 millones de euros.
En 2018, Mango redujo también su deuda financiera a dos años, hasta dejarla en 315 millones de euros. Las ventas de la empresa se incrementaron un 1,8%, hasta 2.233 millones de euros, registrando el primer año de crecimiento positivo
