Mango se suma a los Ertes: despido temporal de 4.767 empleados
Mango encara también su Erte. El grupo de distribución de moda, número dos en España, ha presentado un expediente de regulación temporal de empleo (Erte) sobre 4.767 trabajadores, según ha explicado la empresa en un comunicado.
El expediente se tramitará por causa de fuerza mayor y tendrá efecto a partir del 14 de marzo. La mayor parte de los afectados son empleados en la red de tiendas en España, pero el Erte incluye también a trabajadores de su centro logístico en Lliçà d’Amunt y de sus oficinas en Palau-Solità i Plegamans.
Mango ha decidido también complementar su salario hasta un máximo de 2.000 euros en marzo. Además, todos aquellos bonos e incentivos devengados durante el mes de marzo se pagarán al finalizar el mes.

“Nuestra prioridad es garantizar los puestos de trabajo de todos nuestros colaboradores. Con este objetivo, adaptaremos nuestras capacidades y estructura a las circunstancias que requiera cada momento para poder recuperar la normalidad lo antes posible”, explica Toni Ruiz, Consejero Delegado de Mango.
La compañía mantiene cerrados 1.695 puntos de venta en 72 países, el 78% de su red total de tiendas, por la expansión de la pandemia del coronavirus. Sólo en España, donde el gobierno decretó el pasado sábado el cierre total del comercio no esencial, la empresa cuenta con más de 400 establecimientos.
El Erte forma parte de un plan de contingencia activado por Mango como consecuencia del cierre forzado de tiendas, que incluye también un ajuste “significativo” de la retribución de todo el comité de dirección. Toni Ruiz, consejero delegado, renunciará a toda su retribución durante este periodo.
Durante los últimos días, se han sucedido los Ertes en las empresas de retail de moda que operan en España. Los mayores hasta la fecha han sido los anunciados por Tendam, que afecta a 7.000 personas, H&M, con 6.000 afectados, y Liwe Española, con 1.900 trabajadores. Inditex, por su parte, ha descartado acogerse a esta fórmula al menos hasta el próximo 15 de abril.
