Nike reordena su cúpula y sitúa al director de Air Jordan como vicepresidente de Asia-Pacífico y Latinoamérica
Nike continúa reordenando su cúpula. La compañía estadunidense ha situado al hasta ahora director general de la marca Air Jordan, Carl Grebert, como nuevo vicepresidente de la región Asia-Pacífico y Latinoamérica. Como máximo responsable de la enseña de Michael Jordan, el directivo se encargó durante el último año y medio a liderar el negocio de esta firma, enfocándose sobre todo en la parte de márkerting y merchandising.
Antes de ocupar el liderazgo de Air Jordan, Grebert trabajó como director general de la división de Young Athletes, un cargo al que accedió tras varios años como responsable de Nike en Japón y después de liderar equipos de márketing en Europa.
Con este movimiento, la hasta ahora vicepresidenta de la región, Ann Hebert, ocupará la vicepresidencia de la división de ventas globales. “Será la responsable de liderar la estrategia de Nike Direct, que se encarga de llegar a los consumidores finales de todo el mundo”, ha señalado la marca en un comunicado.
Hebert ha trabajado en la compañía durante los últimos 23 años, tanto en Japón como en Estados Unidos. Ambos directivos reportarán al presidente de consumo de Nike, Elliott Hill, quien ha comentado que “los dos son veteranos de Nike que continuarán haciendo crecer nuestro negocio y acelerando nuestra ofensiva directa al consumidor”.
La compañía estadounidense de artículos deportivos cerró su ejercicio fiscal, que va de mayo de 2017 al mismo mes de 2018, con una facturación récord de 36.397 millones de dólares (31.464 millones de euros), un 6% más que el año anterior.
