Zalando continúa dando pasos eco. La plataforma alemana de comercio electrónico ha
reforzado su estrategia de sostenibilidad de la mano de Zalando Wardrobe, su app de venta de ropa de segunda mano, en la que tiene previsto vender más de un millón de artículos en 2019.
Zalandro Wardrobe es una aplicación móvil que la empresa puso en marcha el año pasado y que permite a los consumidores vender sus prendas de segunda mano a cambio de un vale de compra. Por el momento, la app sólo está activa en Alemania.
“Hacemos que sea más fácil para los clientes comprar de manera más sostenible y experimentamos y colaboramos en toda la industria para dar forma a un futuro circular y próspero para la moda”, ha señalado Kate Heiny, directora de responsabilidad corporativa y sostenibilidad de la empresa.
La compañía ha finalizado los nueve primeros meses de ejercicio con un aumento del 20% de su cifra de negocio. Además, el grupo ha vuelto a números negros, con un beneficio de 14,3 millones de euros, frente a las pérdidas de cinco millones de euros de un año atrás.
