CONEP: Supera el millón los empleados suspendidos de sus puestos de trabajo
El vicepresidente del Consejo Nacional para la Empresa Privada (CONEP), reveló que ya en República Dominicana más de un millón de empleados han sido despedidos de sus puestos de trabajo como consecuencia de las medidas dispuestas por las autoridades para enfrentar la pandemia del coronavirus.
César Dargam, quien además es director ejecutivo del gremio empresarial, dijo que en el caso de las zonas franca llegaron a cerrar el cien por ciento de sus operaciones, mientras que el resto de la industria está operando entre un 50 a un 60 por ciento de su capacidad habitual.
Agregó que ningún empleador quiere tener su empresa cerrada ni a sus trabajadores suspendidos, más bien quiere recobrar operaciones y poco a poco ir generando el flujo que requiere porque la economía necesita esa dinamización, pero la prioridad en estos momentos es lo sanitario.
“Si nosotros tomamos las cifras de esta semana del Fondo de Asistencia Solidaria que se ha creado, el famoso FASE 1 y el FASE 2, nos daremos cuentas que ya supera el millón de personas que han sido suspendidas de su trabajo“, ratificó el líder empresarial.
Dargam dijo que resalta esa cifra porque, al suspendido, el empleador no quiere enviarlo para su casa, no quiere cesar operaciones, pero es una situación excepcional que se espera se pueda superar lo ante posible.
“Mira lo único seguro en esta crisis es que nada es seguro, y las cifras cambian todos los días, pero en conversaciones recientes que he tenido por ejemplo con la Asociación Dominicana de Zonas Franca me dicen que prácticamente llegaron a cerrar completamente y hoy con una reapertura parcial y gradual rondan un 30 por ciento de las operaciones“, detalló.
Sostuvo que, como ha sucedido en casi todo el mundo, el resto de las actividades industriales también ha sido fuertemente impactadas por la pandemia del coronavirus.
“Con consultas con la Asociación de Industrias de la República Dominicana, actualmente rondan el 50 o el 60 por ciento de su capacidad operativa, es diferente en el caso de las industrias nacionales porque son en parte responsable de garantizar la cadena de suministro para que los dominicanos, aun en este periodo de restricciones, tengamos acceso alimentación y productos básicos“, especificó el vicepresidente del CONEP.
Aseguró que esas industrias que están operando con restricciones, nuevas modalidades y protocolos de seguridad, en gran parte sus colaboradores son héroes, dentro de las causas que se está librando.
El director ejecutivo del CONEP dijo que las medidas de distanciamientos impuestas por las autoridades para enfrentar el coronavirus, ha generado que en el país se tengan distintos tipos de empresas, las que están operando porque están dentro de la excepción y aunque enfrentan retos diferentes continúan sus operaciones, las que han tenido que cerrar para reducir el cúmulo de personas, ajustarse al toque de queda o baja en la demanda, y muchas otras que han tenido que cerrar completamente.
