La brasileña Natura desembarca en Asia: inicia operaciones en Malasia
Natura gana una talla. El grupo brasileño de cosmética, el mayor en Latinoamérica por cifra de negocio, ha comenzado a operar en Malasia, siendo su primera presencia en un país asiático. Los planes de la empresa pasan por atacar el mercado malayo primero en el canal online y luego con tiendas físicas.
Desde que compró a la británica The Body Shop en 2017, Natura ha acelerado su expansión internacional, justamente aprovechando la estructura de la enseña que formaba parte de L’Oréal, con fuerte presencia en distintos mercados de Europa y Asia, y viceversa, según Cosmetics Online.
Natura inició a través de la venta directa, canal que sigue copando el grueso de su distribución, pero ha estado agrandando su red de tiendas en los últimos años. De hecho, la compañía ya cuenta con más de cuarenta puntos de venta de su marca homónima en distintos países del globo.
El conglomerado Natura&Co, dueño también de Aesop, The Body Shop y próximamente Avon, cerró el primer semestre con unas ventas de 6.318,9 millones de reales (1.397, millones de euros).
