El Ministerio de Economía Planificación y Desarrollo (MEPyD) en conjunto con el Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo (BID) lanzaron “MapaInversiones” una nueva plataforma digital que promueve la eficiencia y transparencia en las inversiones públicas.
MapaInversiones se ha creado con base en tecnología de avanzada que incluye un mecanismo de participación, para que los ciudadanos dominicanos pueden estar al tanto de los proyectos en ejecución, enviar comentarios, participar en su seguimiento y monitoreo, compartir fotos y videos sobre el progreso de los mismos.
Aproximadamente el 70% de los proyectos de inversión en República Dominicana en ejecución cuentan con un repositorio fotográfico de las inversiones, siendo el país que más fotografías ha puesto a disposición de la ciudadanía al momento de su lanzamiento.
El ministro del MEPyD, Juan Ariel Jiménez, expresó que MapaInversiones ha sido desarrollada conjuntamente entre técnicos del BID y el MEPyD, con el apoyo del Ministerio de Hacienda y la Dirección General de Compras Públicas de este Ministerio. “El BID financió, con asistencia técnica no reembolsable, el diseño e implementación de la plataforma MapaInversiones, la cual se basa en estándares internacionales de transparencia y gestión de la información”, puntualizó.
Mientras que el director de Desarrollo Económico y Social del MEPyD, Juan Manuel Sontag, manifestó que «MapaInversiones es eficiencia en la ejecución física de los proyectos». En conjunto con el especialista de Modernización del Estado del BID, Juan Cruz Vieyra, dijo que «MapaInversiones empodera a los ciudadanos en el seguimiento de los avances de las obras de inversión pública».
