Neiman Marcus, al borde del concurso por la crisis del coronavirus
El coronavirus lleva a Neiman Marcus al borde del concurso. El fondo de inversión Ares Management y el Canada Pensión Plan Investment Board (Cppib) están explorando “todas las acciones” para salvaguardar la salud financiera de la empresa, incluyendo un posible concurso de acreedores, según Bloomberg.
La empresa estadounidense se encuentra ahogada por su abultada deuda y por el impacto de la crisis del coronavirus, que ha motivado el cierre de todas sus tiendas de forma temporal. Neiman Marcus acumula un pasivo a largo plazo de 4.460 millones de dólares y paga cada año unos 300 millones de dólares en intereses.
La empresa factura 5.000 millones de dólares al año y opera con 43 tiendas de Neiman Marcus, dos de Bergdorf Goodman, la plataforma web Mytheresa, Horchow y los outlets Last Call. Ares y Cppib se hicieron con el grupo en 2013 por 6.000 millones de dólares.
