Pablo Wiechers, Presidente de Nestlé de la Región Caribe Latino (RD,Cuba y Haití) habla con Revista Mercado en el marco de nuestra serie de entrevistas Mercado Interviews con empresarios y economistas, quienes nos comparten sus puntos de vista sobre la coyuntura económica tras la crisis originada por el COVID-19.

¨Ha sido un período de inmenso aprendizaje, retos, dificultades pero más que nada de muchas satisfacciones¨ ,afirmó nuestro entrevistado.

Como parte de una multinacional ya tenían, por experiencia en otras regiones del mundo, alguna idea de cómo teletratrabajar en medio de esta  situación  y contaron con algo de tiempo para prepararse, pudieron tomar algunas medidas, no al 100% pero pudieron tomar previsiones y algunos protocolos, subrayó.

¨Desde el CEO principal de la compañía, hasta el último de nosotros siempre tuvimos claras nuestras tres premisas fundamentales: Primero que todos los colaboradores se encuentren sanos para poder seguir adelante, segundo mantener el mercado abastecido y por último dar siempre una mano amiga a aquellos socios de negocios donde operamos¨, así definió la linea de trabajo y prioridades.

Nestlé RD lleva varios años trabajando con una plataforma digital muy robusta por lo que el teletrabajo no es nuevo para la empresa. Una comunicación fluida y  una rápida toma de decisiones ha sido la clave de éxito.

Apunta que la empresa ha contado con una  gran colaboración de todos los que tienen que ver con su operación, autoridades, ministerios, transportistas y asociación de industrias lo que  les permitido trabajar con cierta normalidad.

Cómo principal reto señaló los negocios fuera del hogar cómo la parte mas complicada: hoteles, restaurantes, cafeterías que no están operando, no obstante el equipo dice está enfrascado en pensar como salir adelante.

¨Hemos tenido una increíble velocidad de adaptación a esta circunstancia. Hoy no hay tiempo, hay que escuchar, no precipitarse y tomar la decisión correcta¨
