Coty mueve ficha en su cúpula en España. El gigante de la cosmética y la perfumería ha ascendido al equipo directivo para la Península Ibérica a Ricardo Pedro, hasta ahora vicepresidente de body care&lifestyle scenting, dentro del departamento de márketing global. Pedro se coloca al frente de la división consumer beaty para la Península Ibérica.
El ejecutivo se encargará de supervisar el negocio en España y Portugal de la cosmética de color, las fragancias y los desodorantes para el gran consumo de Coty. Bajo esta división, Pedro gestionará en el territorio marcas como Adidas, Astor, Bourjois, Max Factor o Rimmel, entre otras.
El directivo cuenta con una extensa trayectoria profesional en el negocio de gran consumo, en empresas como Henkel Ibérica y Reckitt Benckiser. Licenciado en Administración de Empresas por la Universidad Nova de Lisboa, Pedro se incorporó a Coty en 2016.

Con este nombramiento, el gigante de la cosmética y la perfumería replica en la Península Ibérica la misma estructura global, que incorporó el año pasado después de la macro operación corporativa que ejecutó en 2016 con la que asumió el negocio de belleza de Procter&Gamble.
La compañía estadounidense concluyó el ejercicio de 2018 (que finalizó el pasado 30 de junio) con unos números rojos de 168,8 millones de dólares (147,5 millones de euros). No obstante, las pérdidas fueron menores a las registradas un año atrás, cuando ascendieron a 422,2 millones de dólares (369millones de euros).
Por otro lado, Coty mantuvo el ritmo de crecimiento y disparó su cifra de negocio, que situó en 9.390 millones de dólares (8.206,8 millones de euros), un 23% más que un año atrás. Por regiones geográficas, Europa continúa generando el grueso de su negocio, concentrando el 44,7% de sus ingresos.
