El gigante coreano Creora invierte cien millones en una fábrica en India
El textil se refuerza en India. El fabricante surcoreano Creora, propiedad del grupo Hyosung, ha abierto una fábrica en India para la producción de la fibra elástica spandex. La nueva planta ha supuesto una inversión de cien millones de dólares (90 millones de euros).
Ubicada en el complejo industrial Auric, en Maharashtra, la fábrica cuenta con una capacidad de producción anual de 18.000 toneladas de fibra al año y ocupa un área de 400.000 metros cuadrados de superficie.
Con la puesta en marcha de la fábrica, Creora tiene como objetivo aumentar hasta el 70% la cuota de mercado de fibra elástica en India, que se usa para la ropa musulmana. “Tenemos que adoptar una estrategia más agresiva para los consumidores de la India”, ha señalado Cho Hyun-Joon, presidente de Hyosung.
Tras la puesta en marcha de la planta de producción en India, la compañía ha explicado que está considerando la apertura de instalaciones en América para fortalecer su negocio internacional.
