El precio del ‘made in Spain’: de los seis euros de una camiseta a los 70 por un chaqué

Poco más de dos euros por unas bragas, seis euros por una camiseta y más de setenta por un traje de etiqueta. Esto es lo que cuesta hoy fabricar ropa en España. El país, que lucha por subirse a la ola de la relocalización, produjo el año pasado más de 35 millones de camisetas, aunque son los vestidos lo que más ingresos le aporta, con 371,1 millones de euros en 2018.

El año pasado, la facturación de las compañías de textil y confección alcanzó los 7.520 millones de euros, apenas un 1% más que el año anterior, lo que la situó como la industria menos alcista.

Textil y confección es, además, la más pequeña de todas las industrias que analiza la Encuesta Industrial de Productos, elaborada por el Instituto Nacional de Estadística (INE). En concreto, la industria de la moda apenas aporta el 1,8% a la facturación total del sector industrial. 

La mayor parte de sus ingresos proceden de la fabricación de vestidos (incluyendo de boda, comunión y vestidos pantalón), que se elevó un 6,7% el año pasado. Le siguen las camisas y blusas para mujer y las t-shirts y camisetas interiores en género de punto, tanto para uso masculino y femenino, con 315,8 millones y 209,8 millones de euros el año pasado, respectivamente.

En volumen, en cambio, las camisetas son las reinas, con una producción de 35,1 millones de unidades en 2018, por delante de camisas, con 30,5 millones y bragas, con más de 20 millones de unidades producidas el año pasado.

Pero ¿por cuánto se pueden conseguir estas prendas en las fábricas españolas? Entre las prendas con mayor volumen, las más baratas son bragas y sostenes, con un precio unitario de 2,29 euros y 5,55 euros.

Tampoco superan los diez euros los pantalones para hombre, en género de punto, con un precio de 8,56 euros por unidad. En la otra parte de la tabla se sitúan trajes, incluyendo los de etiqueta como esmoquin, frac y chaqué, con un coste de 71,77 euros cada uno.

Le siguen de lejos prendas exteriores como los impermeables, gabardinas, abrigos, capas o chaquetones para mujer, con un coste medio de 34,43 euros, y las chaquetas para hombre, con un coste de 31,64 euros. Con todo, estas tres son también las que más redujeron su coste el año pasado, con una caída de más de dos euros en cada caso respecto a 2017.

Los pantalones vuelven a tirar de la producción

Aunque la mujer continúa siendo la categoría estrella, por segundo año consecutivo los pantalones para hombre han sido el artículo que ha impulsado la producción, duplicando sus ventas hasta 44,5 millones de euros el año pasado.

También se incrementó la producción de vestidos, con un alza del 6,7%, y el de prendas para deportes, incluyendo chándales, que, en plena oleada del athleisure, incrementó sus ventas un 3,2%, llegando a 57,8 millones de euros. La facturación por camisas y polos para hombre, por su parte, repuntó un 2,5%.

En cambio, los ingresos se redujeron en todas las otras grandes categorías, especialmente en pantalones y bermuda de algodón para hombre (excepto denim) con un descenso del 13,5%, en chaquetas para hombre, con una caída del 8,8% y en impermeables y abrigos para mujer, uno de los artículos más caros y que retrocedió un 8,4%.
