El turismo cae en España. En enero de 2020 el país ha recibido la visita de 4,1 millones de turistas internacionales, un 1,4% menos que en el mismo mes de 2019, según los datos publicados por el Instituto Nacional de Estadística (INE).
El país que más turistas envía a España es Reino Unido, sumando 718.248 visitantes, lo que representa el 17,4% del total. Sin embargo, se ha producido una caída del 11% respecto a enero del año pasado.
A los británicos les siguen alemanes y franceses. Alemania aporta 493.711 turistas (un 4,6% menos que en el primer mes de 2019), y Francia 480.364 turistas (un 7,7% más). Entre el resto de los países destaca el caso de los turistas provenientes de Países Bajos, con un alza del 7,1%.
La mayoría de los turistas llegan a España por avión, sumando 3,4 millones de viajeros y registrando una caída del 3% respecto a enero de 2019. En segundo lugar, se sitúan los turistas que llegan por carretera, sumando 578.088 visitantes, con un aumento del 7%. Por último, 103.855 turistas han llegado a través de los puertos, registrando un alza del 13,6%.
