Givaudan entra en el capital de Robertet. El grupo suizo se ha hecho con una participación del 4,68% en la compañía. La operación se produce un año después de que otro competidor, Firmenich, se hiciera con el 21,6% del capital.

Robertet fue fundada en 1850 y está especializada en la fabricación de fragancias y aromas con ingredientes naturales. Dirigida desde hace seis generaciones por la familia Maubert, el 47,02% del capital de la compañía todavía lo posee la familia. La compañía registró ventas de 287 millones de euros en el primer semestre de 2019, un 6,2% más que el año anterior.

Givaudan cerró el ejercicio 2019 al alza. El fabricante suizo de fragancias y aromas ha finalizado el ejercicio con un resultado neto de 702 millones de euros, un 5,8% más que el año anterior, cuando ganó 663 millones de euros. La facturación de la empresa creció un 12,2% hasta 6.203 millones de euros.

En 2019, la compañía ha seguido apostando por las adquisiciones. En total, aumentó su cartera con cinco compras: Golden Frog, Drom, Albert Vieille, Fragance Oils y AMSilk. En 2018, Givaudan tomó el control de la francesa Naturex y compró Expressions Parfumées.
