Givaudan sigue engordando su cartera y se hace con un competidor británico
Givaudan continúa engordando su tamaño. La compañía suiza especializada en la producción de aromas y fragancias, la mayor del mundo por cifra de negocio, ha comprado a su competidor británico Fragance Oils.
Fundada en 1967, la empresa inglesa tiene sede en la localidad de Radcliff, con una plantilla de 250 trabajadores y presencia en más de noventa países. Los ingresos de la compañía se sitúan en torno a cincuenta millones de libras (54,6 millones de euros).
El gigante suizo, proveedor de los principales grupos de perfumería y cosmética, ha cerrado varias adquisiciones en los últimos meses. Hace unas semanas, por ejemplo, acordó la compra del fabricante alemán Drom.
En lo que va de año, la compañía también se ha hecho con la empresa vietnamita Golden Frog y la también alemana AMSilk. En 2018, Givaudan tomó el control de la francesa Naturex y compró Expressions Parfumées.
La compañía cerró el primer semestre con un aumento del beneficio neto del 2,3%, hasta 380 millones de francos suizos (343 millones de euros) y registró una cifra de negocio de 3.094 millones de francos suizos (2.794 millones de euros), un 15,7% más que en el mismo periodo del año anterior.
