La producción textil modera su caída. El Índice de Producción Industrial (IPI) del sector volvió a caer en julio con un descenso del 2,2% en relación al mismo mes del año anterior. Sin embargo, la caída fue más moderada que en junio, cuando la producción del sector se contrajo un 13,6%.

Por grupos más concretos de actividad, la confección de prendas de vestir de punto volvió a registrar una de las caídas más acusadas, con un descenso del 22,5%. En paralelo, el subsector de acabados textiles concluyó julio con una caída del 11%, mientras que la fabricación de productos textiles también registró un descenso del 5,7%.
Por otro lado, la fabricación de calzado, registró un alza de su producción del 5,4%. La confección de prendas de vestir, excepto peletería, y la fabricación de otros productos textiles también evolucionaron al alza, con crecimientos del 1,8% y del 0,2%, respectivamente.
