La producción textil vuelve a bajar: cierra octubre con una caída del 2,2%
La producción textil acelera su caída. El Índice de Producción Industrial (IPI) del sector textil volvió a situarse a la baja en octubre, con una caída del 2,2% en relación al mismo mes del año anterior. De esta manera, el sector vuelve a la senda negativa, tras haber repuntado un 0,6% interanual en septiembre.
Sin embargo, el descenso de octubre es el menos elevado en lo que va de año, junto con el retroceso de julio, cuando marcó la misma caída. En enero, el sector se contrajo un 7,2%, mientras que en febrero y marzo cayó un 6,1% y un 7,3%, respectivamente.
En abril y mayo, la producción textil mantuvo la tendencia bajista, con caídas del 4,7% y del 5%. En junio, la producción del sector registró el descenso más acusado de 2019, con un retroceso del 13,6%, para moderarse en julio con una caída del 2,2% y volver a acelerarse en agosto, con un retroceso del 7,8%.
La confección, por su parte, también se situó a la baja en octubre, con un descenso interanual del 0,4%, después de haberse disparado en septiembre, cuando la producción del sector registró un crecimiento del 16,7%.
