Lululemon crece a doble dígito. La marca de equipamiento y moda deportiva cerró el tercer trimestre con unas ventas de 916,1 millones de dólares (825,5 millones de euros), un 23% más en comparación con el mismo periodo de 2018. De este modo, la compañía continúa aumentando su negocio por encima del 20% y entre enero y septiembre acumula unas ventas de 2.582 millones de dólares (2.327 millones de euros).
El beneficio neto en este periodo se situó en 126 millones de dólares (113,5 millones de euros), que se añaden a los 221,59 millones de dólares (200,7 millones) que ya acumuló entre enero y junio; en total, 347,6 millones de dólares (313,2 millones). “Estamos ejecutando con éxito nuestro plan de crecimiento Power of Three”, ha confirmado el consejero delegado del grupo, Calvin McDonald.
La compañía asegura que las ventas directas al consumidor han crecido a un ritmo superior al de la media, con un alza interanual del 30% en el tercer trimestre de 2019. Esta mejora ha hecho que el peso de este canal haya subido en casi dos puntos en un año, hasta el 26,9%. La red propia alcanzó las 479 tiendas al término de septiembre, de ahí que se aclara que el incremento de las ventas a establecimientos comparables sería del 10%.
