Nuevo relevo en Geox: Livio Libralesso sucede a Matteo Mascazzini
De director financiero a consejero delegado. Livio Libralesso se ha convertido en el nuevo director general de Geox, relevando a Matteo Mascazzini. Libralesso se unió a la compañía en 2001 tras dejar Benetton Group, y desde entonces ha ocupado diferentes cargos: de director de gestión empresarial a director financiero en cuatro años y, ahora, a consejero delegado.
Matteo Mascazzini llegó desde Gucci en 2018 para ser admitido en el consejo de administración y fue nombrado consejero delegado de la compañía. Tras dos años en el cargo, la compañía decide renovar la posición para hacer frente a los nuevos retos, según ha afirmado Libralesso a WWD.
En paralelo, la compañía italiana de calzado finalizó el ejercicio de 2019 a la baja. La empresa registró unas ventas de 805,8 millones de euros, 2,6% menos que el año anterior, cuando facturó 827,2 millones de euros.
Las ventas de la compañía cayeron en todas las regiones donde opera. En su mercado local, la cifra de negocio de Geox descendió un 4,7%, mientras que en el resto de Europa la caída fue del 2,9%. En Norteamérica, por su parte, la facturación de la empresa cayó un 8,6%.
