Facebook avanza un paso más hacia el lanzamiento de su servicio de pagos en WhatsApp en India después de concluir una auditoría de prácticas sobre datos relacionados, según fuentes de entero crédito.

La iniciativa ha estado disponible en modo beta en India desde principios del 2018 para un millón de usuarios, pero el debut en todo el papis se ha retrasado, parte por regulaciones.

WhatsApp debe demostrar a un auditor externo que todos los datos relacionados con los pagos se almacenarán en servidores de India.

La plataforma digital se prepara para enviar el informe regulador bancario india, el Banco de Reservas de India, señala una de las personas, solicitando no revelar su identidad.

WhatsApp incursionará en un campo abarrotado y competitivo, donde empresas locales y actores de presencia mundial ya enfrentan.

La unidad de Facebook podría quitar cuotas de mercado a sus rivales y remecer la industria, plantea Arnav Gupta, analista con foco en el segmento de pagos digitales de Forrester Research.
