Tapestry refuerza su consejo con talento de gran consumo
John P. Bilbrey, consejero de Tapestry
Tapestry suma talento del gran consumo a su consejo de administración. El grupo estadounidense, propietario de Coach, Kate Spade y Stuart Weitzman, ha incorporado a John P. Bilbrey a su máximo órgano de gestión.
El directivo, jubilado desde 2017, fue consejero delegado del gigante de los chocolates The Hershey Company durante seis años. Antes de fichar por Hershey en 2003, el ejecutivo trabajó durante 22 años en Procter&Gamble.
Actualmente, Bilbrey es consejero en tres compañías cotizadas: Campbell Soup Company, Elanco Animal Health y Colgate-Palmolive. Desde Tapestry subrayan su “amplia experiencia global”, especialmente en Asia y Oriente Próximo.
“La pasión de John por la aplicación de análisis de datos para entender al consumidor y adaptar la cadena de valor serán activos inestimables para Tapestry”, añadió el grupo. Tras su incorporación, el consejo de administración de la empresa pasará a estar formado por ocho miembros.
Tapestry cerro su último ejercicio (finalizado el 29 de junio de 2019) con un crecimiento del 3%, hasta 6.027,1 millones de dólares. El beneficio se disparó un 61,8%, hasta 643,4 millones de dólares.
