La medida entró en vigor el pasado 20 de diciembre y beneficiará a los trabajadores de todos los niveles de la industria de la moda en Túnez, desde los empleados que están en los talleres de confección hasta los gerentes, según Just Style.
Hosni Boufaden, presidente de la Federación Tunecina de Textiles y Prendas de Vestir, ha explicado que el aumento tiene la finalidad de fortalecer al sector, que atravesó una severa crisis entre 2011 y 2016, que se saldó con la extinción de cuatrocientas empresas y la pérdida de 40.000 empleos.
En la actualidad, la industria textil de Túnez está formada por 1.062 empresas, de las cuales 800 forman parte de la Federación liderada por Boufaden.
