Makarthy prosigue su expansión y abre en Andorra su primera tienda fuera de España
Makarthy da el salto al exterior. La empresa malagueña de moda masculina ha comenzado su andadura en el mercado internacional con la apertura de su primer establecimiento en el Principado de Andorra. La tienda, que tiene una superficie de setenta metros cuadrados, forma parte del plan de expansión que está desarrollando la compañía.
En 2018, Makarthy puso en marcha tres nuevos puntos de venta en España, que se encuentran emplazados en centros de El Corte Inglés de Sevilla, Oviedo y Madrid. Además, antes de que finalice el año, la firma subirá la persiana de un establecimiento en la ciudad de Tarragona.
Apoyándose en esas aperturas, la empresa cerrará el actual ejercicio con una facturación de 2,5 millones de euros, lo que representa un crecimiento del 30% respecto a 2017, según explica Borja García, responsable de expansión de Makarthy, a Modaes.es.
Makarthy tiene previsto abrir dos tiendas en 2019 en las ciudades de Badajoz y Burgos
La compañía pretende mantener el crecimiento a doble dígitos en 2019, ya que continuará ampliando su red comercial. El próximo año, Makarthy pondrá en marcha dos establecimientos en Badajoz y Burgos y seguirá apostando por El Corte Inglés, donde, en la actualidad, cuenta con seis corners.
Makarthy también doblará su apuesta por el ecommerce. Para hacerlo, la empresa ha decidido externalizar el servicio con una empresa que a partir de la campaña primavera-verano se encargará de gestionar la venta online de la compañía.
La estrategia de la empresa en la Red también incluye a la plataforma digital de El Corte Inglés y de Privalia. Además, en los próximos meses, Makarthy se irá incorporando a diferentes marketplaces, ya que su objetivo es que el online cope el 20% de su facturación.
La empresa ha externalizado su departamento de venta online con el objetivo de potenciar su presencia en la Red
La empresa de moda masculina, cuya sede está en Málaga, también opera a través del canal multimarca, estando presente en más de ochenta establecimientos que operan en diferentes ciudades de España.
Makarthy, fundada por Óscar Oliva, su actual director, tiene una plantilla de 35 personas. La compañía produce el 80% de sus colecciones en España, sobre todo, en talleres de confección situados en Andalucía.
