Los maniquíes de The Visuality Corporation salen al mercado. El fondo Miura Private Equity, propietario del 90% de las acciones del grupo junto con el family office alemán Portehouse, ha encargado al banco estadounidense de inversión Greenhill la venta de la empresa.
El grupo inversor, que entró en la compañía fabricante de maniquíes en 2014, ha engrosado el tamaño de The Visuality Corporation un 70%, pasando de una cifra de negocio de setenta millones de euros a acercarse a los 120 millones de euros en 2018. En los últimos cuatro años, el grupo ha comprado tres empresas en Italia, China y Estados Unidos, según El Confidencial.
Miura ha valorado la empresa ente cien millones de euros y 120 millones de euros. Con sede en Barcelona, la compañía cuenta con una plantilla de más de 800 empleados y tiene plantas de producción en España, Estados Unidos, México y China. Entre sus principales clientes se encuentran Inditex, El Corte inglés, Nike, Mango o H&M, entre otros.
Los orígenes de The Visuality Corporation se sitúan en 2009 con la fusión de dos empresas locales, Atrezzo y Marcelo Vilá y la creación de Noa Visual Group. En 2013, se constituyó la empresa como tal tras la integración de la estadounidense Visual Merchandising.
Después de la entrada de Miura y Porterhouse en el accionariado, la empresa adquirió también la americana Falcon Industries por quince millones de euros y, en 2016, se hizo con la italiana Almax por 5,1 millones de euros.
