Carolina Herrera: de la alta costura a las batas y mascarillas sanitarias
La firma de alta costura Carolina Herrera, propiedad del grupo Puig, ha adaptado su línea de producción de sastrería para confeccionar mascarillas y batas sanitarias, con el objetivo de dar respuesta a la alta demanda de este tipo de material de protección frente al coronavirus COVID-19.
Según ha informado Puig, el taller en España de Carolina Herrera se ha puesto en marcha para elaborar este tipo de protecciones a través de dos líneas de producción.
Por un lado, la fabricación de mascarillas y batas destinadas al personal sanitario que, una vez esterilizadas, se entregan en hospitales y centros sanitarios, y por otro la confección de mascarillas para su utilización en la industria alimentaria.
Carolina Herrera se une así a la iniciativa de su matriz, Puig, de colaborar con las autoridades en la fabricación de material de protección, para lo que ha adaptado su línea de producción de Vacarissses (Barcelona) para elaborar geles hidroalcohólicos.
