Derrota a los enemigos de tu salario 13

El evento de mayor impacto en las finanzas personales dentro de la época navideña es el salario 13, diseñado como un incentivo a la celebración de la fiesta más extensa y alegre del calendario cristiano, se ha posicionado más bien como una compensación laboral para quienes trabajan formalmente; y es tanta la presión social que reciben los empleadores, que no he sabido de ningún trabajador informal al que se le niegue su doble sueldo.

Y claro, como el que tiene un empleo cuenta con el doble, literalmente, de su poder adquisitivo, quienes están orientados hacia el consumo hacen precisamente eso, consumir el doble, en detrimento de las posibilidades que provee la duplicación de la capacidad de compra.

De la misma manera en la que se duplican las posibilidades de invertir y vivir mejor, también se duplican el dispendio, la falta de planificación y la adquisición de bienes que no necesitamos. Es que de la misma manera en la que nuestros activos tienen amenazas, el doble sueldo tiene al menos cinco enemigos que atentan contra el máximo aprovechamiento del ingreso más esperado de la nación.

Es duro leerlo, pero mi situación financiera es mi responsabilidad

¿Cuáles son los enemigos de mi salario 13? Si eres de lo que no debe ya todo su doble y planeas disfrutar de tus ingresos extra, puedes tener en cuenta lo siguiente:

  1. El cuerpo no aguanta tantas fiestas ni el bolsillo tampoco

 Evita todas las invitaciones a comer, a cenar, a desayunar, en fin. Verifica si los ‘juntes’ y convites sobrepasan la sana línea de las tres veces por semana, máximo. Lo cierto es que la saturación de festejos se revierte en fastidio y, de acuerdo al tema que nos atañe en esta clase, a gastos.

Apunta las invitaciones que te han hecho, compáralas con el presupuesto que tienes, y decide a cuáles puedes ir y divertirte. 

  1. No a todo el mundo hay que darle su doble

 Selecciona a quienes en tu entorno te han brindado un servicio eficaz y desinteresado gran parte del año, y con ellos comparte una porción (no muy grande) de tus ingresos de temporada. Algunos vigilantes, recolectores de basura y hasta parqueadores tienen el hábito de pedir “el doble” o su “Navidad” a quienes en apariencia tienen una mejor condición económica que ellos. No a todo el mundo hay que darle “su doble”.

  1. El presupuesto de los angelitos

 El adulto dominicano promedio será invitado a por lo menos cinco angelitos, un intercambio de regalo que en la mayoría de las naciones hispanas les llaman el amigo secreto. Entre el trabajo, la iglesia, el club, la promoción del colegio, entre otros espacios sociales, debes decidir en cuántos intercambios vas a participar y cuál será el límite de cada uno de ellos.

 Con nuestro poder adquisitivo navideño, lo normal es que compremos más. Precisamente esa demanda, por la fuerza de las leyes del capitalismo, hace que los precios suban. Antes de adquirir algún bien no urgente, pregúntate si estará disponible en enero y, como ese es el mes más deprimente del año comercialmente, de seguro el precio será menor.

Nota: no aplica para gomitas dulces, galletas de mantequilla, jengibre y chocolates con forma de arbolito.

  1. La presión de no ahorrar

Me has dado la excusa todo el año de que no te alcanza para ahorrar. Me imagino que ahora que tienes el doble de ingresos, podrás guardar al menos el 10 % de tu salario 13; aunque para ser justos, quizás un 20 % sea más saludable, sobre todo porque enero es largo, muy largo.

Está bien, entiendo que tal vez debes incluso tus regalías de 2023. En ese caso, regístrate para que te lleguen los Mercado Daily y Mercado Weekend, así sigamos hablando tú y yo de dinero, finanzas y más dinero, porque para hablar de la vida están los psicólogos.
