San Pedro de Macorís la ciudad que vio nacer a don Mario Lama Handal el 09 de julio de 1929, quien fue un empresario nato, decía “ desde que yo recuerde, siendo un niño mi pasatiempo era ayudar en la tienda, aprendí de mis padres a trabajar desde temprano con la menta puesta en comprender las necesidades de cada cliente”.

Un hombre que se sentía orgulloso de ser dominicano y lo expresa al todo galope y el cultivar su mente lo disfrutaba en cada tiempo libre que tenía de sus horas de trabajo. Mario Lama con una vida fructífera, quien junto a sus seis hijos acoplaron un maravilloso equipo de trabajo que se integraron para crear nuevos horizontes en su grupo empresarial

Don Mario era una persona que no se intimidaba frente al fracaso, y quien tuvo que empezar de cero cuando un fuego destruyó por completo su tienda de calzados de la avenida Duarte. La respuesta fue empezar nueva vez y tomarlo como si el plan hubiese sido desde el principio.

“Para tener éxito debes creer en lo que haces y trabajar con pasión y entusiasmo”.

Fue un hombre que apostó a las nuevas generaciones y que les hacía énfasis en el trabajo duro, el ejercer una profesión que eles guste y disfrutar lo que hagan con la mayor alegría.

Don Mario Lama Handal falleció a la edad de 90 años, dejando el mayor legado a su familia y seres queridos, enarbolar los valores y hacer honor a sus obligaciones y a su circunstancia en cualquier circunstancia.
