El mercado espera que Falabella gane 4,7 por ciento menos en segundo trimestre

Madrid – El mercado espera que el minorista de moda chileno Falabella vea un recorte de ganancias del 4,7 por ciento en el segundo trimestre, acusando el deterioro de su filial de grandes almacenes.

El mercado espera que el grupo, uno de los mayores minoristas de América Latina, registre una utilidad neta de 122,000 millones de pesos (188.3 millones de dólares) en su segundo trimestre, según varios analistas consultados por Reuters.

Los expertos consultados por Reuters destacaron que los resultados de Falabella se verían afectados por el pago de indemnizaciones millonarias relacionadas con las inundaciones en Perú de 2017. Los mismos analistas esperan que las ganancias antes de impuestos, intereses, depreciación y amortización (EBITDA) se mantengan sin grandes cambios, en torno a los 295,147 millones de pesos.

“Proyectamos un trimestre plano. A nivel de ventas se mantendría la debilidad en tiendas por departamento, lo que sería compensado por un buen momentum de Sodimac Chile y las operaciones en Perú”, dijo Santander GCB en un informe de mercado.

Las ventas del grupo -con operaciones en Argentina, Brasil, Chile, Colombia, México, Perú y Uruguay- habrían aumentado un 3 por ciento. De este modo, Falabella acumularía una ganancia de 235,416 millones de pesos (363.3 millones de dólares) en los primeros seis meses – lo que supone un descenso interanual del 3.4 por ciento.

Cabe destacar que los accionistas del grupo aprobaron la semana pasada un aumento de capital por valor de unos 760 millones de dólares. Dicha inyección de capital se destinará a digitalizar el negocio y a reforzar la estructura internacional de Falabella.

Falabella tiene previsto presentar sus resultados esta semana.
