Lenzing sigue los pasos de Prada y Camper. El fabricante austriaco de hilatura ha recibido un préstamo de quinientos millones de euros vinculado a sus objetivos de sostenibilidad para financiar su estrategia Score Ten, basada en la protección del medio ambiente.
El bono inicial era de doscientos millones de euros, que se amplió tras el interés de inversores europeos y asiáticos. La tasa de interés del préstamo variará en función del desempeño en sostenibilidad de la compañía, que lo medirá la agencia de calificación Msci.
El préstamo, que estará disponible a finales de año, se distribuirá en plazos de cinco, siete y diez años. “Estamos firmemente convencidos de que la sostenibilidad representa un factor elemental para el éxito económico del Grupo Lenzing”, ha señalado Thomas Obendrauf, director financiero de Lenzing, en un comunicado.
Lenzing financiará su estrategia ‘Score Ten’
El préstamo de quinientos millones está respaldado por las entidades BNP Paribas, Landesbank Baden-Württemberg y UniCredit. Parte del importe ha sido financiado por la plataforma digital Debtivision.
El fabricante de viscosa cerró 2018 con unas ventas de 2.180 millones de euros, un 3,7% menos que el año anterior. El resultado neto se situó en 148,2 millones de euros, frente a los 281,7 millones de 2017, un 47,3% menos.
