Lojas Renner y Falabella se cuelan en el ránking de sustentabilidad. La compañía brasileña es la primera latinoamericana en aparecer en el Dow Jones Sustainability Index, que elabora en colaboración con Robecosam. El grupo de tiendas departamentales se ubica en la octava posición.
Entre los mayores retailers globales del listado se encuentran Inditex, que se mantiene por segundo año consecutivo a la cabeza, y otros titanes del sector como H&M o Gap. Falabella, por su parte, se ubica en el puesto número once de los mayores grupos sustentables del mundo.
En el apartado de bienes de consumo, el gigante alemán de la moda deportiva Adidas lidera en la categoría tras alcanzar la máxima puntuación en el índice. En esta categoría también está la canadiense Gildan Activewear.
El índice está elaborado a partir de una selección de más de 300 empresas que sobresalen por sus estrategias en sostenibilidad de entre las 2.500 mayores compañías del mundo. Este indicador viene realizándose desde 1999 y se ha convertido en uno de los referentes para los sectores empresarial y financiero.
