Morellato engorda su cartera: compra la francesa Cléor por 50 millones de euros
Morellato sigue reforzándose en Francia con compras. La compañía italiana de joyería fortalece su grupo con la adquisición de la principal cadena francesa de joyería, Cléor, por 50 millones de euros. Con esta compra, el grupo liderado por Massimo Carraro continua engordando su cartera con la compra de la italiana Kronoshop y la francesa Mister Watch.
Con esta operación, la compañía italiana estima aumentar la facturación del grupo hasta 270 millones de euros en 2020, alrededor del 60% con respecto a este 2019.
El grupo Cléor tiene 800 empleados y cuenta con 140 tiendas repartidas en los centros comerciales de Francia. El ejercicio 2019 lo ha cerrado con una facturación de 80 millones de euros.
Fundada en 1858 como fabricante de correas de relojes, Morellato cuenta hoy con cuatro unidades de negocio: accesorios (es la empresa es proveedora de correas de relojes y estuchería de grupos como Bulgari, IWC y Tag Heuer), joyería, relojería y distribución (con las tiendas Morellato, Bluespirit y Gold Gallery). Hoy tiene 195 tiendas Bluespirity y Joyé en Italia.
