Mango nombra a su primer consejero delegado. La compañía de distribución de moda ha nombrado a Toni Ruiz, director general de la compañía, como responsable de este nuevo rol hasta ahora inexistente en el grupo.

El directivo se incorporó al consejo de administración de Mango en 2015 como director financiero. En octubre de 2018, Ruiz fue nombrado nuevo director general. “Con esta decisión, la propiedad de Mango valora y refuerza el papel de liderazgo ejercido por Toni Ruiz en la transformación de la compañía, que deberá continuar en los próximos años”, explica la empresa en un comunicado

Isak Andic seguirá presidiendo el consejo de administración del grupo, del que también forman parte Daniel López, director de expansión y franquicias, y Jonathan Andic, director de Man, Imagen y Comunicación. Este último había asumido las funciones de consejero delegado en 2014, aunque el cargo como tal no existía hasta ahora en la empresa. La empresa cuenta también con un comité de dirección de ocho miembros y un comité ejecutivo formado por una veintena de directivos.

Licenciado en Económicas por la Universitat de Barcelona y formado en Iese, antes de incorporarse a la empresa catalana Ruiz desarrolló el grueso de su trayectoria en Leroy Merlin antes de incorporarse a Mango.

El grupo español, inmerso en una profunda transformación finalizó el ejercicio 2018 con una facturación de 2.233 millones de euros, un 1,8% más que el año anterior, cerrando el primer año en positivo tras dos ejercicios en descenso. El resultado bruto de explotación (ebitda) se situó en 135 millones de euros, un 17% más que en 2017, cuando ganó 115 millones de euros.
