El juez suspende las obras en el Edificio España por riesgo
Nuevo varapalo para el nuevo eje comercial de Madrid. El juzgado de primera instancia número 67 de Madrid acaba de ordenar la suspensión inmediata por riesgo en las obras del Edificio España, inmueble donde el grupo mallorquín tenía previsto construir su hotel Riu Plaza. La decisión del Juzgado de Primera Instancia número 67 de Madrid se produce a raíz de una demanda que interpuso Grupo Baraka al grupo hotelero.
Este fallo es un elemento más de un conflicto entre RIU y Grupo Baraka sobre el inmueble. De hecho, se produce poco después de que otro juez rechazara las medidas cautelares solicitadas por la compañía inmobiliaria para impedir la venta de los locales comerciales del edificio a un tercero.
El conflicto entre ambas partes tiene su origen en el centro comercial proyectado en los bajos del inmueble. Grupo Baraka sostiene que, cuando RIU compró el edificio a Wanda, las partes se comprometieron a que Baraka sería la propietaria de la zona comercial una vez que se avanzara en la construcción del edificio. No obstante, desde RIU sostienen que se trataba de un mandato no representativo para la búsqueda de inversores.
Grupo Baraka decidió demandar a RIU cuando la compañía hotelera selló ya un acuerdo con Inbest Real Estate, el brazo inversor en retail de Corpfin Capital Real Estate, para la adquisición del área comercial del inmueble. Esta operación estaría valorada en unos 160 millones de euros.
