El lujo frena por el coronavirus: estancará su crecimiento en 2020
El crecimiento del lujo se para por el coronavirus. Goldman Sachs ha publicado un análisis en el que no prevé crecimiento alguno en el sector, a diferencia del 5% que registró el año anterior.
El beneficio también caerá, un 11% en total, según el informe. Esta caída viene influenciada por el 9% de pérdidas registradas en las ventas en la primera mitad del año.
El grupo de banca de inversión prevé, en cambio, un efecto positivo en 2021, año en el que prevé un crecimiento de entre el 6% y el 8%. “En tiempos de incertidumbre el consumidor de artículos de lujo pospone sus compras, creando un estímulo adicional para el crecimiento en la recuperación”.
Dada la exposición del sector en el mercado chino ninguna empresa es inmune a la caída del consumo. Pero, Goldman Sachs cita a compañías como Kering, Lvmh, Moncler o Farfetch como privilegiadas. Éstas tendrán una mejor recuperación gracias a que sus cuotas de mercado mantienen los costes más flexibles.
