Fila: un negocio de 1.700 millones de euros en China que ya desafía a las marcas locales
China gana terreno en la industria deportiva. Las grandes marcas occidentales se afanan en ganar presencia cuanto antes en un mercado que ya supera los 1.400 millones de potenciales consumidores, pero hay una que está despuntando. Fila, adquirida en 2009 por Anta Sports, vive su mejor momento en el gigante asiático. La marca italiana obtuvo unos ingresos de 6.537,8 millones de yuanes (852 millones de euros) en los seis primeros meses de su ejercicio fiscal, un 80% más y, de mantener este ritmo de crecimiento, rebasará la barrera de los 13.000 millones de yuanes (1.700 millones de euros) en este territorio a final de año.
Esta es la primera vez que Anta publica los resultados económicos de Fila. Hasta hora, el grupo, que también incluye otras marcas como Descente, Sprandi, Kingkow y Kolon, no desglosaba la facturación que aportaba cada línea de negocio. Ahora, tras adquirir Amer Sports, Anta quiere abrir una nueva etapa de expansión internacional con su marca propia, mientras Fila sigue impulsando su negocio en su mercado principal.
La facturación de Fila en China no sólo empieza a ponerse a la altura de marcas como Xtep y Li Ning, que se centran más en los productos técnicos, sino que también comienza a apuntar a Nike y Adidas. La marca estadounidense cerró los seis primeros meses de su ejercicio fiscal con unas ventas de 2.923 millones de dólares (2.627 millones de euros) en el gigante asiático, mientras que la firma alemana, que no desglosa su cifra de negocio en este país, obtuvo ingresos de 4.011 millones de euros en Asia-Pacífico en este período.
El negocio de Fila en China se ha disparado un 80% en los seis primeros meses de 2019
Si bien la facturación de Fila aún está lejos de alcanzar estas cifras, su ritmo de crecimiento cada vez la han acercado más. La marca italiana no sólo es el motor de las ventas de Anta Sports, sino ya rivaliza con el peso que tiene la matriz. Su facturación equivale al 44% del total y su ritmo de crecimiento es cuatro veces superior al de la marca propia de la compañía china.
Entre enero y junio de 2019, según los últimos resultados publicados, Fila obtuvo un beneficio operativo de 4.673 millones de yuanes (609 millones de euros), un 80,9% más que en el mismo período del año anterior. Por primera vez, además, la enseña italiana aportó más ganancias al grupo chino que su marca propia, que se quedó en 3.225 millones de yuanes (420,3 millones de euros) pese a que también creció a ritmo de doble dígito (+14%).
Este cambio en el peso del grupo también se ha evidenciado en la red de ventas, que asciende a un total de 12.479 establecimientos. El 82% son de la marca propia de Anta, aunque el mayor impulso lo han experimentado los locales de Fila, que ahora cuenta con 1.788 puntos de venta en China, un centenar más que a cierre de 2018. Tanto el ritmo de crecimiento como el de aperturas duplican a las previsiones iniciales que había establecido la multinacional china para Fila en su memoria anual, en la que preveía un avance del 30% entre 2020 y 2025.
