Foot Locker dispara sus ganancias un 15% y crece un 1,7% hasta septiembre
Foot Locker dispara sus ganancias. La compañía estadounidense de retail especializada en moda y artículos deportivos cerró sus primeros nueve meses del ejercicio 2018 con un beneficio neto de 383 millones de dólares (335,4 millones de euros), un 15% más que en el mismo periodo del año anterior.
Pese a la mejora de su rentabilidad, el crecimiento del grupo fue modesto, registrando un avance de sólo el 1,7% en relación a los tres primeros trimestres de 2017. La empresa concluyó este periodo con una facturación de 5.667 millones de dólares (4.963,6 millones de euros). La empresa confía en que la campaña de Navidad contribuya a fortalecer su cifra de negocio de cara a final de año.
Una de las claves de este año para Foot Locker ha sido el fortalecimiento de su alianza con Nike, algo que la multinacional del swoosh ya comentó recientemente debido al aumento de la experiencia de los consumidores en las tiendas de la cadena. Además, hace unas semanas, ambas compañías desarrollaron unos pop up stores para vender sus productos en los pabellones de la NBA.
En los últimos tres meses, la compañía ha abierto diez nuevas tiendas, ha remodelado trece y ha cerrado otras veinte. A fecha de 3 de noviembre de 2018, Foot Locker contaba con 3.266 puntos de venta operativos en 26 países repartidos entre Norteamérica, Europa, Asia y Oceania. A ellos hay que sumar los 108 locales franquiciados en Oriente Medio, así como las diez tiendas también franquiciadas de Runners Point en Alemania.
