Momento agridulce para Inditex. En plena crisis del coronavirus, Inditex ha dado a conocer los resultados del ejercicio 2019. En un comunicado encabezado por una referencia a todas las personas afectadas por la pandemia, Inditex ha dado a conocer que sus ventas ascendieron en 2019 a 28.286 millones de euros, con un crecimiento del 8% respecto a 2018.
En el ejercicio cerrado el pasado 31 de enero, el resultado neto del grupo gallego se situó en 3.639 millones de euros, con un alza del 6%. El margen bruto se situó en 15.806 millones de euros, un 7% superior al del ejercicio anterior y representa el 55,9% de las ventas.
“Basándose en la información actual y de acuerdo con la NIC 2 y NIC 10, Inditex ha dotado una provisión de 287 millones de euros por el posible impacto de la pandemia Covid-19 en el valor neto de realización del inventario de la campaña primavera-verano a 31 de enero de 2020”, ha señalado la compañía.
“Excluyendo la dotación de la provisión el beneficio neto hubiera crecido un 12%”, ha señalado la empresa, cuyo ebitda alcanzó 7.598 millones de euros en 2019.
“Debido al fuerte desempeño operativo, la total integración de la tienda y online y el programa de optimización de tiendas se está reduciendo el inventario sobre ventas e incrementando la generación de caja”, ha explicado Inditex. En 2019 el inventario se redujo un 16% y la caja neta se incrementó un 20%, hasta 8.060 millones de euros. El inventario, excluyendo el impacto de la provisión de 287 millones de euros, hubiera decrecido un 6%.
A lo largo de 2019, Inditex llevó a cabo 307 aperturas, 328 cierres y 182 reformas. A cierre del ejercicio, la compañía contaba con 7.469 establecimientos. La venta online del grupo se elevó un 23%, hasta 3.900 millones de euros, un 14% de las ventas. Por mercados, Europa (sin España) copa el 46% de las ventas, mientras Asia representa el 22,5%; España, el 15,7%, y América, el 15,8%.
