La moda internacional rebasa los mil millones en España y se acerca a cifras precrisis
El negocio de la moda internacional gana una talla en España. La facturación de las filiales de empresas extranjeras del textil, la confección y el calzado en el país se elevó un 7,6% en 2016, hasta 1.062,4 millones de euros. Fue la mayor cifra registrada desde 2008, según datos de la Estadística de Filiales de Empresas Extranjeras en España, elaborada por el Instituto Nacional de Estadística (INE).
Durante la recesión económica y la caída del consumo, muchos grupos internacionales dejaron de banda el mercado español de banda en sus planes de expansión para focalizarse en regiones con mejores perspectivas. La tendencia, no obstante, comenzó a revertirse a partir de 2013 y, más decididamente, en 2014.
En 2016, las filiales vinculadas al sector de la moda coparon el 7,2% del negocio total generado por subsidiarias extranjeras en España. El fuerte impulso de la facturación vino acompañado por un alza en el número de filiales, que pasó de 47 en 2015 a 55 en 2016.
Desde 2008, el negocio de las filiales encogió considerablemente por el impacto de la crisis económica en España. De los 1.094,6 millones de euros en ventas registrados ese año, el sector cerró 2009 con 905,2 millones, un 17,3% menos.
Pese al fuerte repunte marcado en 2010, los ingresos de las subsidiarias extranjeras fueron a la baja en los dos años posteriores, hasta tocar fondo en 2012 con 921,4 millones de euros. Tras otra subida transitoria en 2013, el sector volvió a encoger su cifra de negocio un 0,7% en 2014. En 2015, el sector rozó de nuevo los mil millones.
Por otro lado, el número de filiales extranjeras, 55 en 2016, continúa alejado del registro de 2008, cuando se contabilizaron 62 subsidiarias vinculadas al textil, la confección y el calzado en el mercado español.
Rumbo a los 6.000 empleados
El aumento de la facturación y del número de filiales de empresas extranjeras del sector vino acompañado de una fuerte alza de la plantilla. En concreto, el número de ocupados en las subsidiarias del textil, la confección y el calzado se situó en 5.749 personas, frente a los 5.162 de 2015.
El gasto de personal de los grupos extranjeros con estructura propia en el país se incrementó un 10% en 2016 respecto al año anterior, hasta 214,9 millones de euros. No obstante, el salario medio en estas empresas retrocedió un 2%, hasta 27.977 euros.
El valor de la producción realizada por las filiales de la moda internacional ascendió a 1.019,7 millones, un 8% más. Francia, Alemania y Estados Unidos son, por este orden, los países que lideraron la inversión de las filiales extranjeras en el mercado español.
