El conglomerado suizo da otro paso más en su digitalización con el lanzamiento hoy de la tienda online de Maison Alaïa, fundada por el diseñador tunecino Azzedine Alaïa. La plataforma de ecommerce estará operada por Yoox Net-a-Porter, también propiedad de Richemont.
A través del portal, la compañía despachará pedidos a clientes en más de cien países del mundo. Con ocasión del debut, la empresa comercializará sólo en la Red una colección cápsula denominada Edition y compuesta por prendas inspiradas en diseños de archivo, según WWD.
La alianza con Yoox Net-a-Porter por parte de Alaïa se selló en 2017, poco antes del fallecimiento del fundador de la marca, y se prolongará hasta 2022. El titán del ecommerce cuenta con una división específica dedicada al desarrollo y gestión de plataformas online para terceras marcas, entre ellas Balmain. Esta unidad de negocio está pilotada por Francesca Tranquilli.
