Luz verde a El Corte Inglés para construir en la Castellana. El grupo español de grandes almacenes, inmerso en una profunda reestructuración de su deuda, ha obtenido esta mañana el visto bueno del Ayuntamiento de Madrid para levantar otro complejo en esta vía.
En pleno municipal se ha aprobado la construcción en el terreno situado en el número 69 del Paseo de la Castellana. El Corte Inglés compró este activo a Adif en 2014 por 136 millones de euros. En el momento de la operación, la parcela tenía asignada una edificabilidad lucrativa de 10.176 metros cuadrados.

El Corte Inglés cuenta ya con un centro comercial en el Paseo de la Castellana, en el número 79. Este complejo está considerado como su buque insignia, con una superficie comercial de 13.000 metros cuadrados.
La compañía, que preside desde junio Jesús Nuño de la Rosa, ha cerrado hoy una segunda emisión de bonos por noventa millones de euros, que se suma a la que concluyó el pasado octubre por 600 millones de euros.
El grupo de grandes almacenes elevó en el primer semestre de 2018 un 4,4% su beneficio bruto de explotación (ebitda), que situó en 335 millones de euros. Entre enero y agosto, la compañía registró una cifra de negocio de 7.585 millones de euros, un 0,4% más que en el mismo periodo del año anterior.
