Tino González recupera a un ex ejecutivo para capitanear su nueva etapa. La compañía española de distribución de calzado ha vuelto a fichar a Enrique Morales como director general. Ya en pleno proceso, la compañía fichó a Juan Andrés Corrochano, que había asesorado a empresas de tecnología y energía solar, y había sido director financiero de Intereconomía.

Morales, por su parte, inició su trayectoria profesional en el negocio de la moda, como responsable financiero de Neck&Neck. Ahora, antes de incorporarse de nuevo a Tino González, el directivo estaba al frente del área financiera del grupo de restauración Larrumba.
“Juan Andrés Corrochano ha dado salida a Tino González del concurso”, ha explicado Valentín González, socio mayoritario de la empresa. El empresario señala que la empresa ha estabilizado ya la situación y que Morales será una pieza clave para apuntalar la nueva estrategia del grupo.
La compañía de calzado suma en la actualidad 55 tiendas en España, después de haber abierto dos más en Granada y Soria en los últimos meses. El grupo ultima también otras dos aperturas, una en el centro comercial H2Ocio, en Rivas Vaciamadrid, y otra en Plaza Mayor, en Málaga.

Por otro lado, la empresa avanza en la renovación de establecimientos con la introducción de la nueva imagen. La empresa está inmersa en la actualidad en apuntalar su estructura tecnológica para acelerar en omnicanalidad.
Tino González cerró 2017 con una cifra de negocio similar a la del año anterior, en torno a treinta millones de euros, y con un resultado neto positivo. Para 2018, la empresa prevé facturar alrededor de 33 millones de euros. La compañía, con sede en Boadilla del Monte (Madrid), cuenta con una plantilla de 400 trabajadores.
Fundada en 1981, Tino González inició su andadura como comercio multimarca, con un primer establecimiento en Colmenar Viejo (Madrid). En poco tiempo, el proyecto inició su expansión y empezó a tejer una red que alcanzó la veintena de establecimientos. Una década después, su impulsor, el empresario madrileño Valentín González, reorientó el modelo hacia el comercio monomarca.
La cadena registró un crecimiento exponencial durante la primera década del 2000 y, en 2011, dio entrada al fondo Atlas Capital para acelerar aún más la expansión. El grupo inversor entró a través de una ampliación de capital y se hizo con el 49% de las acciones de la empresa, que aún mantiene.
No obstante, la crisis frenó el proyecto y la empresa solicitó concurso de acreedores dos años después. En 2012, justo antes de entrar en los juzgados, Tino González llegó a superar el centenar de tiendas y a facturar 43 millones de euros.
