VF Corporation se refuerza en Europa con un ‘hub’ comercial en Londres
VF Corporation sube su apuesta por Europa. La compañía estadounidense, propietaria de marcas como Vans, The North Face, Timberland, Wrangler o Lee, ha abierto un edificio de oficinas en el Soho londinense para abordar el mercado europeo.
El grupo ha instalado a su equipo en un complejo de 1.400 metros cuadrados situado en la esquina entre Warwick Street y Beak Street. El inmueble acogerá los equipos de las diferentes marcas de la compañía, showrooms y espacios de diseño.
La empresa contempla ponerlo en marcha a finales de la primavera del año que viene. Por el momento, VF Corporation ha firmado un alquiler para los próximos diez años. El responsable del negocio de VF en la región de Europa, Oriente Próximo y África, Martino Scabbia, ha señalado que la cercanía del inmueble con sus tiendas en el centro de la ciudad favorecerá también el contacto del grupo con sus consumidores.
El grupo finalizó el primer semestre del ejercicio (periodo concluido en septiembre) con un beneficio neto de 667,4 millones de dólares (580,8 millones de euros), un 35% por encima al registrado en el mismo periodo del año anterior. La empresa cerró la primera mitad de 2018 con ventas de 6.695 millones de dólares (5.827,5 millones de euros), un 18% más.
